The registration deadline (July 31st) is fast approaching for the upcoming IBS Early Career Conference "Advances in Biogeography", that will be held 23-25 September 2011, at the University of Oxford, UK. If you have already registered for the conference, we look forward to seeing you in Oxford! Additionally, The Biogeography Research Group (http://www.brighton.ac.uk/brg/ ) has made some small grants (~£100) available for members of BRG who are early career, to assist with attendance at the conference. The Early Career Conference will focus on post-graduate students and those who have recently completed their doctorates (up to five years) interested in biogeography. The aim is to provide a forum in which early career biogeographers have an opportunity to present and discuss their work through formal presentations (oral and posters), and to encourage the formation of informal peer-to-peer networks. Evening mixer events will be attended by IBS board members and other senior biogeographers.
