Researchers in Geography (four posts)

Grade 7: Salary £29,249 - £35,938 p.a.


The School of Geography and the Environment, Oxford, is seeking to appoint four researchers in Geography to start between 1 October 2012 and 1 March 2013. These are fixed-term posts for eighteen month covered by departmental funds for a limited period.

We are looking for the best possible candidates, with a strong publication record, working within the field of the geography. You will be conducting independent research and will be encouraged to further your research portfolio. You may be asked to contribute to teaching under the direction of the Head of School in the undergraduate programme and appropriate MSc and MPhil courses.

You must hold a doctorate in geography or a closely related field, with a specialism in one of the four research areas noted above. Please see the further particulars for more information. You will have evidence of high-quality research and publication; be able to demonstrate innovation and skills in working with colleagues and demonstrate potential to be an effective teacher of undergraduates and graduates.
