IBS Early Career Conference - Register Soon!

The registration deadline (July 31st) is fast approaching for the upcoming IBS Early Career Conference "Advances in Biogeography", that will be held 23-25 September 2011, at the University of Oxford, UK. If you have already registered for the conference, we look forward to seeing you in Oxford! If you haven't, please check out the conference at http://www.biogeography.org/html/Meetings/2011Oxford/index.html, and consider telling any early career biogeographers who would be interested.

Additionally, The Biogeography Research Group (http://www.brighton.ac.uk/brg/) has made some small grants (~£100) available for members of BRG who are early career, to assist with attendance at the conference. Presentation of a talk at the conference is a requirement of the grants. Please contact the local committee with questions on how to apply (ibsearlycareerconference@gmail.com).

The Early Career Conference will focus on post-graduate students and those who have recently completed their doctorates (up to five years) interested in biogeography. The aim is to provide a forum in which early career biogeographers have an opportunity to present and discuss their work through formal presentations (oral and posters), and to encourage the formation of informal peer-to-peer networks. Evening mixer events will be attended by IBS board members and other senior biogeographers.
